Hmmm... I've been traveling to more than 10 countries. Couldn't expect my application moves fast then :(

But it isn't necessarily true though even if it makes intuitive sense. I don't know about fast moving but I definitely know of a few folks with extensive travel history who got PR in about 5 months.

Is it true that the more travel history we got, the longer it takes to process our application?
Oh I hope they don't really take longer for people with extensive travel history as I have been to 14 countries... :(

Finally got MEP on Jan. 10 together with Biometric Instruction Letter.
AOR: NOV 30

Would I be considered PNP stream? I was nominated while in the EE pool by Nova Scotia. I accepted and the additional points led to my ITA. I am FSW and I am in the USA.
Yes. However, please check the ITA letter received from IRCC. The line above the table of points in ITA will tell you the stream.

hi guys.. please do i need to update cic about the fact that i have left my former job? (the job i used as work experience in my application). at the time of ITA i had been at the job for 3years and 2 months. so i already cleared the required minimum years for my crs point.

Not required. But, if you need some peace of mind, you can always raise a CSE about the same

Well, not 100% sure about this. But it seems to be the case which does make sense. Obviously, with longer travel history are going to need more processing time

Time taken for background checks depend primarily on nationality, countries of residence and certain personal situations such as govt, military services, travel to areas of known terrorist activity e.g. Syria, Iraq, membership of certain organizations, visa rejections and a couple of other situations.

Basically, if your travel is to countries friendly to Canada... a delay shouldn't be expected as they already have proactive info sharing measures in place.

Hi Guys,

I received my MEP on January 4th, but did not receive a Bio-metrics request letter. I know i need to submit them but no notification regarding that. When I did get my MEP I also got a request to upload form IMM-5475, which I did the same day. I am November 8th AOR, has anyone else gone through something similar where you get MEP but no notification on the Bio-Metrics?
