Do USA citizens need to get biometrics when applying for a work permit now in 2019? My girlfriend has received an invitation to apply for an open work permit from the IEC program and we are trying to gather her documents prior to accepting the invitation.
There was a post on the IEC twitter page saying "Reminder for citizens of Asia, Asia Pacific and the Americas: Starting tomorrow, you may need to give biometrics for certain types of applications to come to Canada."
But when we look on the website here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp it shows that USA passport holders don't actually need biometrics?
Anyone know whats up with this?
