Processing times are not slower. The people you see on this forum have slower processing times. They make up less than 5% of cases.
Yeah... People on this forum, and the Nigerian forum, and immitracker, and various WhatsApp groups. So please share the forum you are on where professing times haven't gotten slower.

Even gcms notes now take 70 days lol.

Once again an example of you and your flunkies taking one or two examples and blowing it out into a fact. Unless cic website says processing times are slower, it's not slower. You can go by your tiny sample set of applications with reviews needed or ADRs which generally take more time and come to any conclusion you want.

If ircc works so perfectly according to you. So how can you explain they hold approved application for two months. And they realeased the ppr mail to many applicant after the 6 months timeline just because somebody in ndvo showed some mercy and sent ppr after people email them, even they sent ppr to a few people who are from a different region. Just Because you received your mail before the 6 months it does not mean that all the applications will be the same. Also there are some people already in canada waiting for the pr card even though the 60 days have been reached. But well if you want to believe everything of what the website states and there is not delays, fine . Just dont bring more anxiety for those who are still waiting

Even though @navinball is my mate... but i agree IRCC has gotten lot slower... veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... to be precise... i am seeing huge decline in processing times.. for example during my time frame including me we saw many examples for 30 days 45 days 1.5 months/.. whcih is now rare verryyy again... Now there are countries including Nigeria which are under heavy scrutiny because those are same nations where they tons of asylum requests , i don like this but i am seeing this pattern .. Even for India, now heavy scrutiny is on education side, For central Asia we know what kind of phobia . But all this is not an excuse for slowing down. Lets take example of @cansha : that person has been in US for long time., no sense in holding that ppr.. why because major of his background check can be taken from FBI , as RCMP shared data with them...IRCC is not perfect and new policies like Biometrics are egtting in blah blah, but i see a huge gap in implementation.
And another thing.. IRCC sometimes releases ur ppr and its with Local VO , so bug those guys as well, because in Local VOs major chunk are local employees.. like in New Delhi VO.. only 15% is Canadian stff , rest is Indian staff, and we are lazy breed .

What can they mean by 'the background verifications are being reworked' ?

It's been over 8 months and I haven't received any update on my application. I requested for GCMS notes and provided the document which could help my candidacy. I contact CSE and received below response.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Guys, calm down. I know, that although on the inside we are aware and afraid of the bleakest possibility of what @navinball states as the reason for delay on our files, we want to distance ourselves from any disruptions in our way.

But, let's accept, the disruption has happened and take @navinball's opinion with a pinch of salt. It's not like @navinball's business runs on our fears. I hope he's not getting pleasure or reward for scaring us.

I myself do not want to wait any longer. Each additional day is killing my patience further, too. But there is a possibility we will be asked to wait longer... It's certainly not nice, it's certainly not acceptable but the probability does exist.

There is a probability of a Dinosaurs being alive, hiding somewhere too...why not this? :)

On the brighter side, there is an equal possibility of we all receiving the PPR by next week too...

they count the processing time from the date they receive the complete application till the date the file is approved, not the date when the email gets triggered. whether they hold an approved file for a month or two is immaterial towards the processing time.

No please don’t avoid him, we need to settle who is right for once and for all. It is worth every min and sec of our time .

Besides , half a bucket of my popcorn is still remaining and so far I have been enjoying this conversation.

So guys please, don’t give up and let’s fight till our last breathe. This conversation must go on .;)
