I think its best to wait till you receive Oath invite then make plans.
I waited over 5 Months since July from DM, I had to cancel Christmas travel plans, as the Oath invite was a mystery.

Hi,
I need advice, I got invitation to Oath ceremony on Nov 6 but I couldn't attend to that because I was working in my country. So I sent request letter to reschedule after Jan 8, 2019. Now I am in Canada for emergency reason and returning to my country to work by mud of January. I don't know when they will call me.

Got my Oath invite today, scheduled for Jan 29th...finally! Took a while...Scarborough Office is slooooowww....Well, atleast a positive start to the new year! :)

Citizenship
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 28, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 22, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on May 9, 2018.
  4. We sent you a notice on July 5, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on July 25, 2018 at 11:45 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
  5. We sent you a notice on January 2, 2019 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on January 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Congrads. I envy you. They received my application March 1, 2018. your timeline is almost like mine. But I still am on #4. I desperately am waiting to get line #5. I will up update everyone in case I get line 5.

Is there anybody here that took his/her citizenship test in Scarborough Nov 2018?. If Yes, has anyone received an invitation to take oath of citizenship yet. I know some people in Mississauga have started receiving an invitation and I want to know if any body has received an invitation from Scarborough.
 
Got my oath done today now waiting to get passport. They said wait till Wednesday but reading posts here that you can apply when ecas status shows complete?

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on January 8, 2018.

  3. We started processing your application on March 21, 2018.
  4. We sent you correspondence on April 25, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  5. We sent you a notice on September 18, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on October 11, 2018 at 8:20 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
  6. Oath completed today Jan 5th Mississauga location

Got my oath invite for Jan 19th for Missisauga centre for 12.15pm. Anybody from the forum scheduled for similar timeslot at the same location?
My time frame:
App received - Jan 15, 2018
AOR - Feb 17, 2018
Test Invite - Apr, 2018
Test done - May 05, 2018(Scarborough)
Test score - 20/20
DM - May 05, 2018
Oath Invitation - Jan 07, 2019
Oath Scheduled - Jan 19, 2019(Mississauga)

Also anybody planning to apply for Canadian passport at Whitby by 22nd Jan, 2019? TIA
