May I ask you what exactly u ask them when sent the email?
Well, simply put, I asked why there were such unusual delays in my Eligibility and Security processing? One is met, the other not started for ages now. I also added some context, stating I’m putting my son in school and need to know now, else I’m locked in situ for a year at least. I’m not going to uproot the family and transplant them mid year in foreign soil. And lo and behold, I get a non standard response to my non standard request :p

‘and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to the minimum’! What kind of a reply is that?? Seriously sucks right? I wonder who trains the staff at CIC - certainly need to introduce some modules on etiquette in their staff routine!
So sorry to see how they’re fobbing us off with pointless replies, considering our security hasn’t started - and both you and the spouse have zero foreign travel history! Hope they wake up and start processing your file soon - sheesh! You must be tired of these auto replies...
I think we all should go on indefinite hunger strike to protest against their behavior. What do you say?

This is a first of it's kind response.
I'm assuming they need to complete a final review (maybe even pass eligibility first befire commencing security.) But it's all guess work.
One thing I'm kinda sure about is that this maybe the new "standard" reply to inquiry emails by IP2 applicants with security not started.
Looks like it! I also plead guilty to sending non standard requests (bordering on emotional blackmail :p ) but seriously, in my defence, I need to KNOW how I’m placed before putting my son through school here. The call centre agents do keep saying Eligibility must be passed before security starts, but there’s nothing holding up Eligibility from the looks of it - all GCMS notes have been clear on that count at least. Ah well, your support helps and so does the forum’s combined wisdom :)

@legalfalcon, thank you for your unending guidance.

Lot of us here are in a very similar situation like @Nishika22. After a long time of being in oblivion, here is a mail response from CPC, Ottawa that is not generic and feels genuine.

We are stuck at IP2 since October last week. It has been reiterated by agents over the call that our Criminality is passed but Security is yet to start.

What do you suggest is this document, that is stopping them to initiate Security.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.
Would be great to hear out what you have to say on this response from CIC @legalfalcon! Thank you for looping him in @Prashant86_2000 :)

Hi Guys,

Since many of you have ordered the GCMS notes, i was wondering should I also order them (AOR 24 June). Is it any helpful or it pisses the agents off? Just curious, your thoughts?

How so very unfair on their part. I sent them an email asking them about the "unusual delay" in my application on Dec 22nd. They didn't have the courtesy to send this to me. :( (Joking, I would rather prefer they send me the PPR, directly :p)

Now, I feel the file is unnecessarily being delayed by third party agencies or our ex / Current employers.

@Nishika22 you are such a liar. You had earlier said, "I did not choose this profession, the profession chose me..."

When you are so fond of literary works and have an elaborate vocabulary do you give an option to your profession but to choose you?

I hate reading books and that's one reason for my crumpled English language. :p

Also, on a serious note, please tag LegalFalcon about the content of the email with details about your timeline, I am sure, he has an idea about what's going on.
Hmmm, you might get a response this week. I raised my email query on 19th Dec and just got a response on Friday evening. Yours might be in the queue- or PPR directly :p
Yup, I’m both blessed and cursed that my profession is my vocation - cuz I can’t get it out of my system in any forum, personal or professional ;) But blessed if the essence of life is to do what you love, and love what you do :D

I actually wrote an emotional note on CSE and then changed it to a bit formal one. I’ll probably be taking emotional cse route by next Friday. Let’s see if that works.

After waiting for so many days you get such reply, it’s better they would have started your security and it would have been completed till now.

I think your file is waiting in queue to be reviewed by senior officer as your eligibility is recommended passed. As soon as it is passed your security will start which can again take few hours to few days and even weeks. Don’t know why they are making some people wait without any reason.
Precisely! We wonder why they waste resources on sending pointless, non-case specific replies, instead of investing them in checking our files for real! Eligibility has been met since July, so the entire cloak and dagger around a senior officer reviewing it and passing it formally strikes me as rather insane!

The security was started during the security screening stage
For those in security screening, security is usually blanked out not "not started" as seen in @richa1987 's GCMS notes.
