(SOLVED) POF After ITA (affecting my EE Eligibility)

Hey all,

I tried changing my POF from $20,000 (what I initially had before the ITA) to $15,550, after saving the application my score got removed and was disqualified (NOT MET) for PNP and FSW.

I thought we could change the amount to meet the minimum requirement as per the CIC guidelines after the ITA, any help is highly appreciated!

Many applicants have got their profiles removed from the pool as they are "no longer eligible".
I think it may be due to funds minimum requirements being updated in the Express Entry system, but applicants were not informed. It's my hypothesis for now, as only those declaring funds very close to the minimum requirements for their family size seem to be affected by this.

In your case, it seems the problem appeared when adding your spouse and reducing funds to 15,550CA$ from 20,000CA$, with a minimum requirement of 15,531CA$ for a family of 2.

Submit a profile again with higher funds, see what happens. Revert it back to 20,000CA$.

Note: You need to show funds for family of 2, even if spouse is non-accompanying.

I updated my POF back to $20,000 and surprise! I'm now eligible for FSW and PNP.

I went back and forth changing my POF (for 2 people) and reviewing my score. After numerous tries (used increments of $50,$100,$5's), The magic number for eligibility under FSW and PNP was $15,855. To be on the safe side, I entered $16,000 and now i'm free of stress

What’s the unofficial minimum requirement for family of three? I put CAD19,500 but in fact I have CAD20,300 in the bank.

My consultant did not say my profile became ineligible. I am worried that she’s unaware.

If your profile becomes ineligible your consultant will be informed via mail. tell him/her to check for any emails.

That's great to hear!
It does seem like funds requirements were updated behind the scenes in the system, and profiles got filtered out automatically.
Just like last year, the web page for POF should be updated by the end of this month.

as @tobs suggested, I encourage you to get in touch with your consultant to make sure.
They have many applications to manage, each one with their own emails.

Try 24,000CA$.

Yes, with 24,000 CAD you are good to go.
