Every week the status bar reduces by 1 week saying lesser days remaining to complete the PR process.. But no change in the steps... Background check still in IP1 since October...
We are sailing in the same boat. Hope to see some movement soon.
BTW, this morning I saw a change in my profile - The application status changed from "You may not hear from us for a little while, this is normal. Most progress happens closer to your estimation completion date" to "Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to. This will help move the application process along."

There was no ghost update and no change in any other statuses either. Still in IP1. Don't know if this change signifies anything, but its better than no change at all.. :)

I think it's just a generic message which automatically appears on all accounts once the applications cross certain timeframe.

To all September AORs who already got PPR.
Could you please advise if any of you have a valid or expired visa for Canada (any type).
I'm trying to evaluate/estimate the impact of having applied for a visa before on a PR application processing times.
I'm not looking to validate this hypothesis based on just a few examples from you, but on the contrary, invalidate it.

In other words, if many of you who got PPR already, but have no previous visa applications at all, then it doesn't work.

Let's see...
