My timeline

• We received your application for a permanent resident card on October 15, 2018.

• We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 12, 2018.

• We started processing your application on November 12, 2018. STATUS CHANGE TO DECISION MADE on Dec 13.

• Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on December 17 2018. STATUS COMPLETE today.

Question: Do they send the cards directly home or to a visa Office.. I am at Oakville Ontario. Thanks

It depends and varies from case to case, as I have understood.

Hello everyone,
I applied to renew my father's PR and the info on the ecase is as follow:

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on June 4, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on September 18, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on September 18, 2018.
4. We sent you correspondence on September 18, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

So on September 18, 2018 my dad was asked to mail them some additional documents(copy of the passports page, travel record), and they received the additional documents after 30 days. And a few days after they got the additional documents, the status of the ecase changed to decision made. Since after sending the additional documents, we didn't hear anything from them, I sent a web query a few days ago and they replied by saying that the application is still in process(then why the status is decision made??!).

Is the situation of my dad's application normal?! Does anybody know roughly how long it takes that they issue and post the PR card after receiving the additional documents? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@kasra8888 Hi, i have received the same email today to provide additional document to complete full review. They are asking passport full copy, Personal immigration entry/exit stamps and proof of physical presence in canada. Could you please help me to explain what exactly you provided to them so that i can share the same with them.

My final update for this topic. I received my card in the mail today. Citizenship is next so I probably won't be back to this specific topic again. Good luck everyone!

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on September 13, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on November 19, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on November 19, 2018.
4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on December 13, 2018.
5. Received card in the mail (Nova Scotia) on December 18, 2018.

I got my AOR email last night. Was able to link my application to mycic account yesterday night itself. But nothing was showing in ecas (as they update it only once a day).

And then today I checked now in the morning, ecas shows the application. It says in process.

1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on October 25, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 18, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on December 18, 2018.

It says sent correspondence on Dec 18, but I got it on Dec 17 night ...

Just hoping and praying to see this to Decision Made soon and receive the PR card in my hand soon .

Glad to Share my timeline for the PR Card Renewal
1- The application form was mailed to PR Card Processing Center on October 10, 2018
2- The first email received confirming the receipt of the PR application on October 15, 2018 o-n December 10, 2018.
3- We Started processing your application on December 10, 2018
4- The status of the application was " In Process" on December 10, 2018
5- The status of the application was changed to "Decision Made" on December 13, 2018 ( today).
The further update will be provided as soon as there is change in the status.

6- The status today (18/Dec/2018) has been changed to "complete" and the card has been mailed to the address.

got my card in the mailbox today. here is my timeline:

It was longer than I expected. The new card has a larger profile picture than before. Also, I did not provide my Client Number and a copy of my old card in my application. I supplied those info. via on-line enqury later and they replied in 2 days. I tried to call once and it toke an hour before I could talk to someone on the phone. The process is really long. I hope they are making efforts to speed it up.

HI, I mailed them a copy of the passports plus translation of the foreign stamps, a trip record issued by the government of my home country, and my bank account detailed transaction from the last few years. Everything that is not in English/French must be officially translated, and you must provide a certified copy of them.

Mine took almost 60 days for the process to complete. Now waiting for the card to arrive.

We finally got our AOR email for PR card renewal (I created the following copying from what's been posted)

Anyone know how to link on my CIC or how to look at it on ECAS? I cannot link either today with UCI.
