Hi Guys,

I am planning to apply for citizenship. I am at the stage of filling out form and i need your help.

for question 10b) the explanation column beside country is just for not providing police certificate or I have provide reason why I have stayed 183 days outside Canada?

Question 14a)Table A) my new passport issued in 2014 and expiring in 10 years.but my previous passport which was issued in 2012 and was expiring in 2017 but stamped cancelled once I got new passport. do i need to provide reason for overlaping date of issuance of new passport with the expiry date of old passport. like why I got new passport before expiry of old passport?

please guide me on this.

Overlapping is not a problem, a gap in dates is, so nothing to worry

10b) You need to provide explanation only if you are not providing a police certificate although you stayed in that country for 183 days or more. You don't need to explain why you stayed there. You will provide reason of stay in the physical presence calculator anyways.

14a) Don't need to provide reason of overlapping as long as you are providing information about all the passports. I was in the same boat as you and didn't provide any explanation.
