Hi!
I have seen some applicants saying that they had the application returned for missing marriage certificate. I do not believe that the officer reads all the explanation letters when they don't see a mandatory documentation from the checklist within the application. Maybe a few of them consider our workpapers and check everything before sending them back.
Have you written or highlighted a note on the checklist regarding the explanation letter?
I really hope that they consider yours!!!

Hi everyone!
It seems that the time to get our OWP is getting closer.
As I've noticed, August applicants got theirs around 92 to 100 days after the app was received by CIC. Or around 60 to 67 days after AOR.
If that is still working, we are going to get ours starting tomorrow or next week!
As mine was received on the 28th September, I will be lucky if I got it this year though

I have been sponsored by my sponsor through inland Quebec spouse sponsorship stream and this is my application timeline:

Sep 11, application sent to CPC-Mississauga
Oct 15, Letter from IRCC and invitation to apply for CSQ
Nov 11, CSQ approval received

Do I need to worry about my timeline as I see some others have received their MR?
I can't link my paper application to mycic online account. The system can not find my information during link process. Is this normal?

Just received my MR yesterday and I have done the test today. How long normally will it take for the next step (background check)?

Guys! I got a great news!!! Just got my Medical Request after having a status change on MyCIC yesterday to "we are reviewing the results of your medical exam". After receiving the MR email, my status was changed to "We have requested a medical exam. Check your messages below for details".

Got my exam booked for this afternoon for $300 in Vancouver, BC with X-Ray and Lab all in the same building. I know it is a bit on the expensive side but all other physicians have no availability until Dec 12. Otherwise, the cheapest one I found is at ISS of BC on Victoria Dr for $220 on December 28 if anyone else from the area is interested.
