GIC rejected

Dear sir,
My GIC in Scotia Bank was rejected on 24/11 ,because ordering customer name did not match beneficiary name. As in my local bank, my name is with full name (with middle name) and in Scotia Bank just first name and last name is there. Still my GIC refund has not been received. My agent just added my middle name in details of Scotia Bank secure webmail website.
Is it okay, if we change over there ?
And when will I receive the refund ??

Check all forms twice.

I think check with them if you send passport copy via email will they accept the GIC and update Ur Account

I changed my name from secure webmail. The one in which the certificate and all comes. There is option of my account and over there I added my middle name after mine.
Is it okay if we change there ?

No bro.. that is just a web interface. How will the bank link Ur rejected document to name change after... That way anyone can change names and transfer money ..

3. Tell them can they pls link as the address n passport number would match.

Not Ur investment account. That screen is only visible to bank

Logically... Think... If u make an FD in India .. does bank give u access to their data system or just a web profile. Name change can be big... It's a legal thing.

If that was the case... They wud have told u or others all these yes whose application has been rejected
