Difference between S-1 and SW-1I got

I have the student permit for a 1 yr course in a Canadian college and the visa type is S-1(student visa). But some students are getting SW-1(student-work visa). Kindly let me know the difference. Does this come in my way of applying for a post study work permit later? Am I allowed to work part time during studies?

S1 is Study Only Visa.

SW1 is Study And Work Visa ( Usually Given to Those students who are Going for a Co-Op Program which requires Credits Of Work at Some Place )

No You are not Allowed to Work for Six Months. After that you Can Apply For Off Campus Work Permit.

And No It Doesn't Effect the Post Study Work Permit.

You Should Have Mentioned in Your Application About Your Program that It Requires Work Permit

Email Embassy... They can Help you In that Case
