What about when the call agent says your application is in queue to be reviewed by an officer? Is this the 1st or 2nd stage as you stated earlier? And is it bad news? Thanks

Most likely second stage and the first stage is completed. But to be sure you need GCMS notes.

I have my Aor on July 7, 2018 and medical passed 2 weeks after that(july24).
From that no update on my application.
My status are as follows
Eligibility - we are reviewing your eligibility
Medical- passes
Interview - you do not need a interview
Additional documents - you do not need additional documents
Background check - we are processing your background check.

Anyone have any idea in which stage my application is ?

I have the same timeline.
AOR on July 7th
Medical passed on 23rd July
No updates since then. Are you an inland applicant?

I spoke to an agent by telephone today who confirmed my application was approved on the 15th (5 days ago) and all I have to do is wait for the email.

Last status update was on November 6th. My file eventually moved to IP2.
I have just spoke to an agent by telephone. He told me that my background check has not been started yet. But this is very strange because as I've mentioned my application moved to IP2 on November 6th. How could it be? Anyway, he hasn't told any details. He only said that I have to wait two more month.
By the way the visa office is Ottawa

He means your Security check hasn't started. (Many people are in IP2 but their Security check hasn't started)
For you to be in IP2 your criminality is passed and your Eligibility most likely Met or Recommended Passed.
