- This online service will be unavailable from 3:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Eastern time, on Tuesday November 20, 2018, in order to perform system maintenance.
I don't know why I get my hopes up every time a system maintenance alert comes up on the site - but I just doAll my fellow Oct24-26 IP2 folks, hope my gut feel about the system maintenance being a positive development works for at least some of us

Story of almost everyone on this thread. I know everyone being in same situation is a temporary relief and after a while you want to just get on with your life especially when you know this is just the beginning of other set of challenges. So do whatever you can to distract yourself either completely from thoughts of Canada or spend time researching about things there as if you already have a ticket booked. I alternate between these two approaches.
I researched both but despite extreme weather in Canada .. Canada is a much better option compared to Australia.

Anyone planning to order GCMS on the next weeks? I compeleted 5 months now, iam thinking to order it if i didnt get anything next two weeks, as i can see alot of ppl who has ip2 on 15/16 disnt get PPR yet
I think what a lot of people have missed here regarding rentals is that you're not always renting from "landlords".
If you're single and don't mind a roommate, you can look on sites like kijiji and craigslist. There are people who sublet. I spoke to quite a few sub-letters before I decided to get myself a real estate agent.
My realtor and I negotiated my rent- I quoted a rent below the landlord's asking rate on my current apartment, and got it. I did have a job offer on hand months before I moved here, so I don't know what the flip side is... I'm not sure I would've got the apt without the job offer. But getting an Airbnb to start off with is what most people do- it's the done thing.

Yes, em here. IP2 16 OCT, I spoke to IRCC - VO- Sydney, File was approved on Nov 6,2018 still awaiting the PPR email. Fingers crossed.
My GCMS notes should come by the end of this month. I'm planning to call CIC tomorrow hopefully to find out some more info. Here is hoping we all get our PPR soonHappy to welcome one more member to our ark
