Wait, If Biometrics will be required, you will receive an email/notification.

Same case. 50 days without any bio instructions yet. I really worry about that and i don't know how to understand it .

Some applicants have received it the same day, others weeks later.
IRCC states on their website, that it could indeed take several weeks for you to receive the biometrics collection letter.

I see.
But is this related to a problem with the documents or stg ?

Hard to say really. Anything related to this is nothing more but speculation...
I don't think there is a problem with a document per se, otherwise you'd already know about it by now, as R10 Completeness check is done right around medicals generally.
I know I'll sound silly, but wanna ask just to be 100% sure.
You're 100% positive you're from a country where biometrics is required? And you submitted after or on July 31st?...
If so, then the only thing you can do really, is just be a bit more patient. They work in mysterious ways sometimes...

Thank you for your answer.
Well; i don't know a lot abt the process.
So what you're saying is that , by the moment i got the medicals completed , it means that there is no problem with the documents i submitted?

Yes, i nees to be patient indeed. It's just so hard to keep relax when you see everyone almost(even those who submitted in October) having the biometrics instructions while you're still waiting ...

The medical passed in itself doesn't exactly mean that one has passed completeness check, but it's around that timeframe. it's the first verification made.
With your AOR of Sept.17th, I think you'd really know by now. Many applicants who applied end of September already have seen their applications rejected due to incompleteness or invalid PCCs.

Hi I received my Biometrics letter on 24th Oct. Submitted on 30th October but still I have the 'your action is required' and 'we need your biometrics on page'.

My question is did I have to do something additional? I just took the biometrics letter to the center and they took my fingerprints and said they'll transmit themselves. On the same day I also started seeing the Biometrics number updated and also this
  • Date of Biometrics Enrolment: October 30, 2018
  • Expiry Date: October 30, 2028
Is there something I am missing out on? Because I didnt update anything in the system. Assumed that they'll transmit and I dont need to do anything. Do I need to click somewhere? Submit something? why is it not being updated?

Will appreciate insights.

You're done. If your biometrics info is on your status page, you did what you had to do.
The system sometimes shows some bizarre updates.
Just open your status page, and click on any unread/read messages until the status changes to just "Submitted".

I have a question about biometrics. Some people are saying the instruction letter should come the day after AOR. I didn't get one. Is it true?

Also, I have read somewhere that the biometrics will be required after 1st of January, 2019 for the applicants inside Canada. Is this true?

I havn't heard anyone getting them sameday as AOR, and find that pretty unlikely. What I know is that they are usually received on the same day as Medicals Passed, or a few weeks after. But since it's a new process, it's not impossible...

For biometrics, it's starting December 31st, (not January 1st) for applicants from Asia, Asia Pacific, and the Americas. But for now, applicants applying from inside Canada are temporarily exempted from biometrics until a system is up and running, even if you are from these countries where biometrics are mandatory.
