Please I applied to Carleton University for MSC. Technology innovation and management. I applied since 9th may for January admission. And my application have been on recommended for Assessment for more than 5months now.
I don't even know my chances of getting the admission.

I have applied for Meng in Mechanical and aerospace program in mid july. My status did change from 'preliminary review required' for 2 months to 'review in progress by department' for past month. Furthermore, i didn't get any response yet.
Is anybody got any response in above field? please inform,

There are many other students awaiting response from Mech Dept. You may want to drop an email to program co-ordinator and check the timelines.
The Oct' month is going to end soon and in two months the Winter term will start. It is my personal opinion that your admission might get deferred to Summer or Fall 2019.
On the other hand, suppose you get offer next week then obtaining a study visa on time, before Winter term start, will be a very tight situation. After you get offer there are series of activities that consumes substantial amount of time. See the list below with approx timelines:
1. Sending hard copies of transcripts to Uni to get unconditional offer letter, which is required for visa application. (approx 5 working days)
2. Obtaining GIC (approx 5 working days). You can obtain this with conditional offer letter and need not wait for unconditional offer letter.
3. Paying academic Fees by wire transfer (approx 5 working days). Note: Fees can only be paid after getting unconditional offer letter. So actual timeline of this activity may be 10 days in total.
4. Upfront medical (wait time before submitting visa application approx 5 days). You can do this step today and save time. Medical test is valid for one year.
5. Suppose, if you are going to take educational loan then bank is going to consume certain amount time. It is very subjective and difficult to predict how much time bank will take to issue a loan sanction letter.
6. With festive season approaching there might be some holidays in between.
7. There will be document transfer time between VFS office and embassy.
8. Depending upon your profile and situation, you might be spending time to get transcripts prepared, documents attested, affidavit preparations etc etc. Some time will be spend in these kind of paperwork activities.
May be it will be mid or end of Nov' month by the time you submit your visa application. VFS will stop taking visa application in first week of Dec' for winter term.
I don't want to dampen your spirit, but at the same time wish to give you some ground realities. If you are hoping for Winter term at this point of time then you are walking on very tight rope. If you get offer for Summer/Fall then you are in good position. Good Luck !

No it just changed from "review in progress by department" to "Recommended for assessment" .

I have got an offer of Admission for Winter 2019 Intake (M.Eng in Civil Engineering) on 6th November 2018. Unfortunately, I don't have sufficient time to arrange for Loans and Visa Process. At this stage, I can't see another option to attend winter 2019 term. Please give me your suggestions, what should I do now?
