I’ve been a silent observer here for months and I must commend everyone particularly those responsible for updating the spreadsheet.

Presence in Canada: 1521 days
Family application
Mailed application : April 10,2018
AOR: May 3,2018
IP: July 23
Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Edmonton office is slow but I have a friend that applied by end of May 2018 and wrote his test 2 weeks ago so I guess all case is different and assessed differently . I have a strong feeling that November will rain citizenship test for many people..

Welcome! I'm from Toronto too but can't figure out what office my application is in. I'm guessing it's Scarborough because a number of my friends who have applied from downtown Toronto had theirs there. I asked for my GCMS notes a few weeks ago so hoping it shows on there when I get them.

Yep a lot of us April candidates are the same. Unfortunately it's case by case. Some people are done quickly others take longer.

Hi LABEBE,
i guess its a case by case treatment...updates from applicants of the the same month might give you a sense of what to come but its not certain. Some applicants background checks result come back fast while some take longer time, some cases are kind of straightforward while some people have traveled out of Canada numerous times which some have said can affect processing time as well. In my case in Edmonton, my friend applied by middle of May 2018 and he wrote his test in October while i applied in April and just got a test invite while others are still waiting...

No doubt processing in Alberta appears slow but wait with faith because rain of test invite will certainly fall.
