Hello all,

Any idea what should be done after you have done with your 6 months of wait time, and still the application is in the same state as it was fro past 6 months.

It is really frustrating.
AOR: March 25th 2018
MEP: 28th March 2018
Inside Canada.
Visa office Ottawa

Called IRCC on September 15, all they said was its under process.

Does any one know that processing time has changed? if yes, how many months?
It feels like this wait time is never ending...!! :(

Guys I called them again today and the agent said he will email to vancover visa office. They within two hours I got my PPR.

March 18 aor
Cec out land
Visa office: vancover
I just called the agent. she told me that my file is in vancover and approved.
But nothing is sent out yet.
I am currently in India and she says I need to update my address.
I already gave them schedule A last month. it clearly states i am in India.

She says my file is approved. but nothing has sent out any.

Whats going with my file?

From one of the posts I just read, people with review required from Jan and Feb AOR's are slowly getting replies and files are moving forward. If this is the case then crossing my fingers to see something happening in next 1-2 months.

It really depends. My OAR is March 2, and my application has never been set to review required. on April 11 it was set directly to Recommended pass, but has never been touched again since then. So, review required does not imply anything. It all depends on the Officer handling the case

Congrats!! Calling IRCC seems to be doing the trick for applications over 6 months mark .
I am already reaching 7 months (on the 2nd), and I have called several time. All what agents tell me is that there is nothing they can do, and that I have to wait. I have raised several CSE and send mails to Ottawa, but still no reaction. My application having been set to Recommended pass since April 11, I think it is therefore not a complicated one.

I'm sorry to hear this. I have said this many times before on forum but will say it again; cases like yours just make me feel frustrated and sad. And this is where that argument of "every file is unique" just fails to resonate with me. I get it every file is unique and all but this is just not done. It is just not a file it is more than that. I wish they gave more information, had a little bit more transparency. But, we can just hope as we need them more than they need us. It is a skewed transaction and since it doesn't impact their citizens they probably have no incentive to fix the system. I wish you luck. and I hope you get your PPR soon.

I believe also, like you, that the statement "every file is unique" is a completely empty signifier. A case never put on review required cannot stay six months untouched and they claim it is a complicated one. I will call again today and see if they finally decide to do something.

Yeah whether a file is complicated or not can't be ascertained if it has not been even touched for months!!

All the best for your call!
