I'm a Turkish citizen and my GF is a UK citizen. I need to apply for a Temporary Residence Permit but she doesn't have to as she can just get an eTA.

In my application process it's asking for Spouse/Common Law Partner in the Family Information form. We aren't married but we have been living together for the past 2 years. Do i have to include her on this form or can I just leave it blank? Which would be the better option?

You must declare your marital status as 'Common Law'.

If you don't declare her now, you may never be able to sponsor her if you apply for PR in the future (or it could be viewed as misrepresentation)

I didn't want to misrepresent which is why I wanted to be sure. She doesn't need to fill out a visa form or anything as she is a UK citizen and can just get an eTA. If i include her in the family forms she won't have to fill out anything else right? In the Schedule 1 form it says common law partners must fill it out as well but she shouldn't have to?

She needs to declare her marital status as 'Common Law' too when she applies for an eTA
