Hello,

I’m looking at gathering the required documents for express entry in advance of applying to avoid any issues and not meeting deadlines.

My employer has kindly offered to provide me with the reference required now, however I have not yet applied for the visa. As it stands, I have 452 points so I am confident of getting an invitation to apply.

Basically, will it be an issue if the dates of me gathering my employment reference, and bank proof of funds statement etc are before I have been given the invitation to apply? Would the documents still be accepted even if they’re dated a few weeks before a ITA was offered?

I have my IELTS And WES documents good to go but appreciate these seem less time sensative as they are valid for 2 years.

Not an issue as long as you don't apply ne t yeat for example. PCC is the most time sensitive thing so just go ahead with it

Thanks for your quick reply. I’m looking to put my application in within the next couple of weeks essentially however I wanted to make sure most of the documents required I have at hand ready to go before applying and finding any issues.

In regards to the police check certificate, I presume it is better to wait to apply for this after the ITA?

Just the U.K, Scotland specifically. I’ve not lived anywhere else.

IMHO, you can start right away as it takes 10 business days to process the UK PCC

Please don't apply for your bank letters now, for the PoF. This should be as close to the eAPR date after the ITA as possible, try to ensure it isn't over 3 weeks old at the time you submit your final application for processing.

The same applies for work reference letter. For current employment, it is best to have the date as recent as possible.

Documents dated one week before ITA are good to file PR.
