Work Permit Application Processing Delayed

Hi guys,

I would like to ask, if someone is going through or went with the same hassle as me for processing Work Permit application and not getting any reply from so long?
Well, I live in Dubai and got a job in Ontario with an offer of 25$ per hour and received a positive LMIA on 25th Aug 2016, then applied for Work permit (online) in Canada through a Canadian lawyer on 7th Sep 2016. After few months I got a Biometric letter through lawyer and given my Biometrics on 29th Sep 2016 in VFS office Dubai. But since then I am waiting for a reply from Canadian authorities but till today there's no response.
As I approached several times to the lawyer and he says that all the applications of Work permit have been delayed, especially people live in Dubai/UAE.
My application from the day submitted till today has completed almost 9 months and approx 6 months after biometric...

I don't know exactly what's going on with my and others applications but is there anyone else who has simillar issue?

It’s almost 7months and no reply whatsoever in the Abu Dhabi Visa Offoce. I’m worried cause my work here is gonna end on November 29 2018 and my Passport is with them.

it will be positive.... i have a friend she got the denied result within 2 months only. i think it will not take that much time if they deny your application.

I applied for Work Permit under the Atlantic Immigration Pilot which is LMIA exempt.

Not yet still under process. I have contacted the embassy 2 weeks back and they informed me that my application is in queue to be reviewed by an officer, in reality I don't know what that statement mean or in what stage am I.

What is your visa office? Did you applied WP under Atlantic Immigration Pilot or with LMIA approval?

I applied under LMIA approval. im just worried because my friend got his wp after 1 month and 20 days of applying. we had the same LMIA. i also called visa office but they didnt gave me the exact time if when i can get my wp result. they just told me still on process.

Did your friend applied in the same country Visa office ? From which country you applied?
