Thank you for the detail Information. In my Ready for Visa email it does not have the instruction 1 Residing outside canada. Rather it has if you are unable to send passport then please send us email to CPC-Ottawa and we will send you the instruction. So I replied to them requesting for the instruction to send. I appreciate again for sharing the detail information. This helps a lot.

I got the letter for sending across the passport in 2 months from the date of receiving the pre-arrival letter. So definitely before the end of August you should get such letter. All the best.
Thanks for your kind words. I received the email requesting for passports last week. As my parents are in India, the instructions clearly asked them to use the VFS services in India.

Also, very big thanks to the community for all the feedback and relevant information I received during the process.

Only due to the election and I voted liberal before people criticize me. Seems irresponsible because in areas where there is a high rate of immigrant resettling, like Brampton, the hospitals are always over capacity and people are constantly in hallways. The healthcare system is overcapacity everywhere but worse in some of these areas. Can't demand increasing the PGP numbers but also complain that there is not enough capacity in the hospital, longterm care and home care. There is also not enough staff to get through 50,000 asylum applications so not sure where the staff to process PGP came from. There will be asylum seekers that will be allowed to stay because the process took too long.

Hello Everyone,

I recently received an email from IRCC instructing me to submit the PGP Sponsorship application for which I had sent an expression of interest earlier in the year (Feb). I did not receive a response in the first round so I imagine subsequent draw was held once some of those selected in the first round were unable to submit the applications.

I have come to this forum and thread looking for some advice as I reviewed some of the earlier posts here and found everyone to be very helpful - thanks in advance!

So the concern I have is that I'm still relatively new in Canada - been here since May 2016 so I currently have 2 tax returns - not 3 which is mentioned in the eligibility for the sponsor. I wanted to know if anyone has dealt with a similar situation and what were the next steps and rationale? I do meet the minimum income requirements.

My thoughts so far on how to go about this:
- I plan to submit a supporting letter explaining why I only have 2 tax returns instead of 3 and I will offer in the letter to follow-up with my third tax return which is coming up (for 2018). The application deadline is early October so I would say that I will send the remaining tax as soon as possible.

In the application, I did not find this as a disqualifying criteria for example the Sponsorship Eligibility Assessment section in form IMM1344e which says flat out if you answer no to any of the following 4 questions, you won't be eligible. These 4 questions are: 1. Being of Age 18 and above 2. Sponsor being a Canadian citizen or PR 3. Sponsorship Class being correct (PGP/Spouse) 4. Residing in Canada.

Also in the rest of the application, checklist etc. there doesn't appear to be a hard say on the preceding 3 year tax returns so I feel (and hope) there will be some wiggle room and if I submit the supporting letter, the application may be considered.

Please let me know your thoughts on this - do you think the application would be rejected just because of not having 3 years of tax history or does my above plan make sense - if anyone has already dealt with a similar situation, your experience would be very insightful and helpful for me.

Thanks!

Bro sorry but you do not qualify under PGP sponsorship for parents and grandparents. It is strictly 3 years and if you do not have that you are not qualified and your application will be returned. You should apply when you have last 3 years tax returns and you meet the income requirement for all of them. Supporting letter is not considered and will not be considered for sure.

My mom did medical exam in May 2018 and then sponsorship was again reviewed and approved in July. They do not have medical results on her file and i emailed them requesting them to check medical exam and update and they replied saying they do not see any medical results received (what the hell). So i again sent inquiry with E - medical exam copy received from physician when we did medical and expecting they update that but to my surprise today again i got an email from ircc requesting for medical for my mom. What should i do now? wait until i get their response on my inquiry or i have to do medical if they asked again. It's just 3 months my mom did medical so it is for sure not expired.
