hello there ..
i am kinda newbie to this express entry program
i would like to ask if my CRS evaluation score (didnt apply yet cuz of ECA) is 429 ... with a bachelors degree + CLB 9 ielts
should i pursue a one year post graduate diploma to push it to 462 ... i am scared that this option may be time consuming and some modifications might happen to EE system.
or should i just wait till the score goes down .. which didnt happen since may 2016 ...
thanks in advance

Be proactive. Do not let your decision be based on what is not within your control. Try to improve your scores and hope that the EE system remains the same.

It should most likely remain the same over the next one year, since we will have the same party in government.

Do you think this pattern will repeat in the next draw? I mean no draw on 8th followed by a 450+ cut off?

93 June 25, 2018 3,750 442
92 June 13, 2018 3,750 451
91 May 30, 2018* 700 288
90 May 23, 2018 3,500 440

I’m feeling quite positive for the next draws. There will be no 3 week gap. IRCC only follows the supply-demand theory. They don’t really care much about the score. It only happens that a lot are starting to increase their score this year hence it’s taking time to reach subs 440.

I’m assuming there will be a draw on Sep 5th & 19th.

Here is my “hopeful” prediction:

Sep 5th: 440 April 2018 cut off (3,750)
Sep 19th: 439 December 2017 cut off (3,750)

Perhaps they will do a back to back draw on October. Thinking it will be on 3rd, 10th, 17th. Then on end of November, they may have PNP & FSTW draw. In my opinion, lowest they can go for this year is 438 with June/ July cut off.

Best way to be more competitive is to increase IELTS score and gain education.

Hope you are right. There have been 100s of PNP invites in the last few days, hope it does not take away from the non-pnp aspirants.

It’s important to look at the invites given rather than the number of such draws. I saw the one posted above -It only has invites in double digits. So don’t panic.

While I have tried different times of IELTS to boost my score from 423 by 1st attempt last year to 439 by 6th and been waiting for score to drop from June, I am likely going to resign at the end of next Friday Aug. 31 because of the last date of my PGWP. My company seems that they will only acknowledge valid implied status with the proof of PR application submitted and BOWP, so I could not try my original trick way to utilize paper BOWP to “buy some time” of either waiting to be invited or cumulating work experience until 2 years (still need 2 and half months to complete 2 years). I also resat twice during my waiting period, almost loosing hope to keep waiting after seeing this crazy surge of applicants and draw results this year.

But I’m not going to be beaten, and I will do more resit. Though consecutive resitting is really costly and makes me tired, it is the only fast and possible factor for me that can increase the score.

Good luck and may the best to all of you!
