Dear @legalfalcon,
Thank you so much for all the valuable information that you have been sharing through this platform.
I hope you wouldn't mind answering a few questions that I have in mind. By the way I realize that similar questions have already been asked in the forum, but I am still unsure. So here it goes:
Question-1: I have the following non-Canadian foreign work experiences:
Company A – 2005 – 2010 (5 years)
Company B – 2010 – 2015 (5 years)
Company C – 2015 – 2018 (3 years) (started on 10 August 2015)
Is it okay if I only list my experience in company C in express entry profile? I don’t want to upload any document for company A and company B after receiving ITA. Is that fine and not a misrepresentation? Or should I include all three companies in the express entry (i.e. pre-ITA) profile and move company A and B under personal history after ITA? Which approach is the correct one?
Question-2: I received a promotion in company C. My experience in company C is as follows:
10 August 2015 – 6 February 2017: Contracts Specialist
6 February 2017 – Present: Senior Contracts Specialist (just a simple title change, promotion, no change in roles and responsibilities, increase in salary)
Do I need to have two separate entries for work experience in the express entry profile? (i.e. 1.Contracts Specialist between august 2015-Feb2017, 2. Senior Contracts Specialist Feb-2017-Present), or should I only have one entry with my latest title like (1. Senior Contracts Specialist August 2015-Present)? I will have one single work experience certificate and the letter will mention both of my positions and their respective periods.
Question-3: I have accompanying spouse, who has six years of foreign (non-canadian) experience. Should I mention that in express entry profile or should I say no to work experience question? Is that a misrepresentation? Saying No seems weird to me I am not too comfortable.
Question 4- How is foreign work experience counted? (i.e. does it include the annual leaves etc.?) I have joined my most recent company on 10 August 2015. Today is 21 August 2018 and I have only been away for two-three weeks in a year, which is paid annual leave. It is a full time work (40 hours / week). Does it mean that I have completed three years of foreign work experience for CRS?
Many thanks in advance for your consideration, and I am looking forward to your valuable advice on how to proceed.
Yours truly,
