Hi All,

In my family details, it asks Does *************** have a relative who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada? (The relative must be 18 or older and living in Canada.)

I answered yes - Uncle / Aunt

After that it asks:

Please tell us about ************** immediate family members that have not been identified in the application.

This includes any parent, any spouse or common-law partner, any child including adult children, and any brothers or sisters. If the relative is deceased, provide the date of death.
• Check the list at the bottom of the form first to see information you have already saved.
• When you click "Save and Add", each relative's details will be saved to the list.
• The fields will go blank to let you add details about another relative.
• Use the modify or delete button if you want to change details that you have already saved to the list.
I added my parents and sister, my parents live in the states, and my sister is here, American, on a work permit.

Now, for my supporting documents, I am told to provide:

"Family Member Proof of Status"

You must provide a copy of your family member's Canadian Citizenship or Canadian immigration status document (e.g. Canadian passport, Permanent Resident Card, Study Permit, or Work Permit). Please provide a copy of both sides of the document.
and

"Proof of Relationship:

You must provide proof of your relationship with your host or family member. This can include:
I assume the Family Member status is my uncle and aunt. However, Proof of Relationship I don't quite understand. I'm not married to a Canadian, a parent, etc.

Does anyone know what the difference is or why this is being asked?

Proof of relationship to prove that you are related to your uncle. Google express entry intake for more information.

Did you google express entry intake?
I did, I clicked on the first website. Still doesn’t tell me the difference between the 2 and why I’m being asked for both. From what I understand uncle / aunt doesn’t qualify for points and I’m not claiming my sister since she’s not yet a permanent resident.

Hi All,

In the family section,

"Please tell us about x's immediate family members that have not been identified in the application.

This includes any parent, any spouse or common-law partner, any child including adult children, and any brothers or sisters. If the relative is deceased, provide the date of death."

Should I add my husband's details as well? He has his own "Accompanying, PR Spouse Form"

please help!
