Hello guys , my ecas changed to IP today , and saying “we started processing your application on August 13th, 2018” , wonder how long will it take to Edmonton local office to continue the rest ? Anyways please update the excel sheet , thank you !

I would like to share that there has been a status change in my Ecase

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on May 30, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on July 24, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on August 14, 2018.

Kindly update the STATUS. Can anyone advise what will be the next step in the In Process status and when and what to expect.Thanks

There don't seem to be many of us in the list for this month. I am glad you and one other have had your application move to IP, gives me some hope that I'll be soon

Application In Process means that the application is received by the local processing centre and they have started evaluating your time requirements, admissibility requirements for the grant of citizenship. Usually the same day, the application status changes to In Process, a security clearance check is initiated which is dealt with by RCMP and CSIS. Within the next few days, they ask CBSA for your travel history, CRA for your Tax filings and if in doubt about your total stay may send you residency questionnaire to ask more details. If the security clearance brings up a positive or a false positive, you will get a Finger Print request which entails that you go to FP collection centre who will submit your FP to RCMP database for running a query on your status. If all inputs from RCMP, CRA, CBSA are OK, you will get a test invite.
