Am I a strong candidate?

I'm a Turkish citizen who has been living in the UK for 5 years. I've got a degree in Computer Science and a masters in Advanced Computer Science, both from a UK university.

I've been working in the UK for 1 year now as a software developer however this is as a Limited Company of which I'm the director of. I do contract work for various companies. I'm working as a Limited Company because of a deal UK and Turkey has which allows me to work without a sponsorship but only as a self employed person. There are too many restrictions on me under this visa which is why I won't be renewing after it ends and am thinking of pursuing my career in Canada.

My English is at native level and I know basic French. I'm 25 and single. I have around 50k CAD which I can use to support myself in Canada.

I've calculated an express entry score of 460 using the CRS calculator on the official site.

Do I sound like a good candidate for Express Entry? I'm willing to study for a second masters in Canada and work in Canada afterwards for as long as I can on a post study work permit if that would increase my chances substantially but would rather not if 460 would be enough.

I'm mainly worried about my work experience not getting accepted as it's self employed but I have invoices that I wrote for my clients. Also what kind of things lead to a fail in the medical exam for PR? I might as well get these checked myself before I even apply for Express Entry so I don't go through all of that and fail because of the medical exam later on. I don't have conditions that I'm aware of atm. I do wear glasses though :p

a 460 score will get you in anytime. only worry would be your experience letter as you cannot put self attested letter. do you have a HR?

Do I have HR? Not sure I follow you sorry, I'm the only "employee" of my company. I can get letters from the companies/people I worked for and include any invoices I wrote for them as well as the bank statements showing me receiving the money.

I have found the following on the canada.ca website
  • if the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).
I can provide proof of incorporation, taxes, my income and letters from people I work for and the payment. Unsure as to what the part in the brackets mean however.

It means you can't self sign your experience letters. If you can get them from your clients then it's fine.
Excellent. I'll start gathering my documents before my UK visa ends and make my application. Are there any examples online for these experience letters or for "documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details"? Don't want to make any mistakes.

Thanks!
