I am planning to show one of my Term deposit certificate as proof of funds which comfortably covers the required limit.
So shall i just upload that Term deposit certificate alone? Or i have to show my other term deposits in that bank?

Secondly do i have to get 6 month statemnt also?

Please guide.

Thanks.

Just to clarify, the requirement in cic says the below:

include, for each current bank and investment account:
  • account numbers
  • the date each account was opened
  • the current balance of each account
  • the average balance for the past six months
What does the above refer to? Any idea?

Please help.

means your deposit must be atleast 6 months old when you apply. you can only show one deposit if it meets or exceeds min required funds.

Do get written on bank letter for these deposits 1. When they were opened 2. They can be liquidated anytime.

Just to clarify..one of my term deposit covers the required funds..so i need to get on bank letterhead..only details about this term deposit correct?

And no need of balance in savings account correct?

The requirement is to show the funds weren't a one-time deposit. You do so by showing gradual build up of funds (over 6 months at least or more). Therefore, if your term deposit is less than 6 months old, suggestion would be to include the statements showing where the funds came from (e.g. maybe funds were in your savings/checking account, prior to you putting them in a term deposit).

If you have sufficient funds in term deposit then only that is ok but do you opening date and the fact that it can be liquidated anytime on bank letter head. And term deposit should have been older than 6 months to avoid showing statements.

Do I need to get letters from my retirement savings account or other investments in addition to my bank statements?

Ok, that's great to hear.
My current bank is not giving me the letter on a colour letterhead - does that matter? If it does, then do you recommend getting the black/white letter attested/certified from the local branch?
OR They recommended that if I want colour, then print it myself and they'll attest it - is that ok?

Second option is fine.

Ok, thanks!
1) Do I need to print out all pages of my monthly statements (of last 6 months) OR just the first/summary page of each statement of past 6 months?
2) I don't need my credit card statements right?
You don't need to show bank statements if your bank letter has current balance and last 6 months average balance and you have been maintaining funds for atleast 6 months.
