Dear I simple Word your wife should have leave canada within in six month otherwise she have to apply for extension...more than six she will be illegal in canada

The stamp is just the regular POE stamp - Ellipse shaped stamp - showing the date of entry into Canada, nothing more.

Okay. Please do you know if there is any waiver for a dependent child. The child is under age and came as a dependant while the parent is schooling. is there any way the child's stay can have the same validity as the parent, rather than just having 6-months ??

You should have asked when entering and CBSA would have issued a Visitor Record to match your stay.

You need to apply to extend the child's status. Include your permit and ask for the same length.

The reason I asked this was because I just heard that the kid has to go back to his/her home country to apply for a study permit.

P.S - The kid is 22 years old.
