Hi all,

I hold different positions under same NOC in a company but I don’t have a promotion letter

All I have is last 6 months salary slip of my served tenure of the last designation and reference letter mentioning my designation and dates

Do I need promotion letters or I will be fine ?
I think its best for you to get a reference letter, can you provide a job offer? Maybe contract?

Hello everyone,
AOR 25th May
Medical and IP1 7th June
Ghost update 18th June
Still in IP1. Has anyone with similar timeline ordered GCMS note or called CIC?
I am in the same boat:
AOR 23rd May
Medical passed and IP1 6th June
File Application Update 7th June (found an additional page on my passport with stamp on it)
GCMS ordered 4th July and yet to arrive
Currently still in IP1
Should I call CIC or just wait for GCMS to arrive?

There are various steps of PR application.

Eligibility is the one where most applications get refused, for POF or reference letters etc. If this is passed you should feel happy that you are one step closer to PR.

Criminality is checked based on PCC you must have provided. It will not take time.

Another important step is Background where they make security related checks based on your travel, country of residence, origin etc. For some it's quicker where for others it takes time.

Only once background which is final step is cleared you get PPR
Hi, so if you passed the eligibility , you will likely get PPR especially if your background check says " We are processing your background check"? Thanks

Thank you everyone and good luck to everyone waiting for the golden email!

In the same boat. My assumption is that eligibility pass should get reflected online soon and then the next/final step is BGC. Any other views are welcome!
Your eligibility in online account stays the same till you get CoPR, only BG status changes

Now it depends on how long the background check takes, portal messages are a bit misleading, never tell a true story. Many times it says processing background checks but in reality it has not even started, best is to call cic and ask or order gcms notes. Also if still within 6 months timelines have some patience. As per IRCC 80 % of are decided within 6 months. Now it could be 2,3,4,5 or 6 can never be predicted.

I remember you very well. We have very similar timelines. I can now see that you're nearing the coveted PPR mail! I'm so happy for you. Hopefully my application will be updated soon. I requested gcm a few days after you did. I think your application is going well.
thanks, hope too that you will get an update very soon

Quick Question:
- I just received my GCMS notes today. The notes refers July 3rd as "Date Generated". Does that mean the notes reflect IRCC evaluation progress only up until July 3rd?
- Also the notes states "Recommend Pass" for Eligibility, does that mean the case analyst thinks I am eligible, but I still need to wait for the immigration officer to make a final decision?
Thank you and good luck everyone!
