Work permit with LMO number

hello,
My employer applied for the approval of LMO on may 29th. Last week he called SC and got the LMO number. They told him that he’d get a call within 2 weeks for the interview. My student permit expires soon. Is there any possible way I can apply for my work permit with just the LMO number?or do I need to wait for the call?

No you need LMIA to be approved and then you need to apply for a work permit. You should switch your status to visitor before your study permit runs out but you'll have to stop working when your study permit ends. Why didn't you apply for PGWP?

Others, am I correct in saying that you can't get implied status in this situation? @scylla @canuck_in_uk
