Hi Guys,

I have a quick question.

I have received my ITA in April & the last date of my application submission is next week. I have all the documents but PCC from one of the countries I have stayed in is still pending. I have tried everything to speed up the process but I don't think I will receive it before the submission date.
What should I do in this case?

Should I submit the application with all the documents I have along with the PCCs for rest of the countries?
OR,
Should I write to them for an extension?

Which country is this for? If you have proof that:
1. You applied already
2. Applied well in advance
3. One of the countries which is known to be difficult to get a PCC from in time

In that case you can apply by explaining above mentioned along with proof. And hope CIC agrees to your explanation.

You should upload a document explaining that you applied for a certificate, but have not yet received it. You should also include any proof you have that you applied for it, and did so in a timely manner (application form that you sent, email correspondence, etc.)

Thanks for the response.
This is for UAE. I had applied well in advance (from USA) but it got delayed because US departments were confused about the process.
I do have all the supporting documents to prove this.

Thank you. Will do so. I have heard they sometimes reject the application on the grounds of "not complete", in similar cases.

Do you mean via UAE embassy in USA?
If you are following the process expected then you can submit application with proof of this but it should look like a genuine issue to CIC. I would suggest to get couple of more opinions especially to check your PCC process.

They should only reject it if there's doubt you absolutely did whatever you could to obtain it. For example, if you have no proof you applied for it at all, or if you applied for it only a month after you were given an ITA.

It's a long process:

1) You should send your fingerprints to the State Department to certify
2) Then you should send that to US state department (DC) to certify
3) Send it to UAE embassy in the USA to certify
4) And, finally all this to someone in UAE to get the PCC from Police Department.

Mine was stuck at point 1 & Point 2. They kept sending my documents back & forth (they were not sure if it was the point 1 first or the point 2). Now, the documents are with the State Department in DC. I am expecting that some time next week but even after that I have point 3 & 4 left.

That's amazing... Let me try that. Thank you so so much.
When you get that PCC document, create a single PDF and include the PCC, followed by the copy of your EmiratesID, Copy of the Dubai Police email that you will receive(that contains the PCC), and receipt of the payment (AED 320) (that you receive by email when you make the payment on the Dubai Police portal).
You want to ensure that you have obtained the PCC through genuine process and document receipt.

Understood. Quick question - During my 4 years stay in UAE, I had 2 Emirates ID cards (first one expired in 2016 & got another one issued). Can I submit the copy of any of the ID cards (I am assuming both will be linked in their records)? Do you have any idea? I don't have the 2nd one, unfortunately.

The Emirates ID# would be the same for both right ?
In anyways if you have only the one issued in 2016 then use that, since you don't have the other copy.
From what I know is that they are interested to know the EmiratesID# and do not require the copy of the card itself.
