Biometrics for applicants before July 31 2018

As per the CIC website, Biometrics will need to be submitted for some new applicants depending on country. If I've already got an AOR in June and I get my COPR before July 31st, at what stage will I be asked for biometrics?

You will get a notification in your CIC account about it.

when I check it says "Answer: You don’t need to give your biometrics right now." I am the principal applicant from India, a PR of South Africa, living with my wife in South Africa. My wife is a South African, does she, as a dependent, needs to go for biometrics if i receive an ITA ?

This is what I replied initially, What ever this tool says. After filing your PR application, if Bio metrics will be required, CIC will send you an email and you will have 30 days to provide that. So just wait for that notification.
