Pre arrival services invitation

Hello all

I havent posted on this forum for a while, but i wanted to ask a question.

Friday January 26 2018, my husband received an "invitation to Pre Arrival Services" letter in his GCKey Account.

The background check is not started yet.

What does this mean? It seems like a good thing

If it matters, our visa office is Manila.

It might help, but maybe someone else can answer about not having the back ground check in progress, yet receiving the letter part

I think it depends from VO to VO but, in my case, I recived Pre Arrival and background check didn't started in the same time. BCG, DM and PPR were all 3 in the same day, 9 days after Pre Arrival. So, probably soon you'll hear good news.

Only update to our file was on march 1. Officers started looking at the additional documents.

Since then, nothing.

I know Manila Visa office has many many applicants and its a slow process. Once the file is looked at it can sit and not be touched for weeks. (Because of all the other files)

All we can do is be patient.

Hi the IRCC Pre-Arrival Services letter encourages all immigrants who are still outside of Canada to enroll to these funded program. The agencies that delivers the pre-arrival services are also reporting to IRCC if the immigrant has accessed or enrolled to the pre-arrival program. So, I encourage to take advantage of it. IRCC has found out that immigrants who enrolled to pre-arrival has lessen the surprises in general (and are better prepared after arrival). I have been following these pre-arrival services and Settlement Online Pre-Arrival - SOPA is an indepth pre-arrival services because it has free online courses that helps you on your employment www.arriveprepared.ca and select your province of destination

Same here. 5 months has passed since medical passed. Still waiting for PPR, pre arrival services received last March 11.

Today , my wife received a notification "Invitation to Pre-arrival services" from the embassy CIC portal . My wife did not did medical yet Do you know what it means ? Is my wife application approved ?
