Hi all,

I’ve already submitted the application for a study permit with my parents’ bank statements(in their names) showing that I have sufficient funds for the period of studies. But, bummer, I forgot to include a letter from my parents indicating that they’ll be sponsoring me for my studies.

What should I do?

What docs did you submit for the funds? I am sure those docs belonged to your parents

I submitted their bank statements which are in their names. I also declared that my parents will be funding my studies. The only hiccup was I forgot to include that letter. What do I do or what should I expect?

If its not long you submitted, send them a Case Specific Enquiry(CSE) with your Name, Date of birth, Passport number, and short message with an attachment of the letter. Be fast about it

I submitted it 9 days ago. I don’t think they’ve started reviewing and processing my case because I haven’t received an update for that. I’ll do it tomorrow because I won’t have my computer back until then.

Hi,
I have filed my case under general category, I have 6 bands in each module and 6.5 overall. It's a 1 year post graduate program consisting of 3 semesters. the reason behind to file under general is that I paid fee only for 1 semester. I showed my father's ITR and my sister's salary and working proof, she is independent and single. Is it sufficient to show my financial condition?

I have pretty good profile with 2 years of experience in my field and applied for the relevant post grad program. This fee factor is the only thing for which i am worried about. I paid complete GIC as well.

And actually do you attach your IELTS copy as well for a study permit for Master's studies? Thanks!
use this one,

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

COmplete all the info and then when you click on Next, it will ask you to submit the docs. where are you applying from? whats in the checklist. are they asking for IELTS then you shud have submitted. If your institution has waived IELTS then you should indicate that in your SOP.

Got it and it's been submitted. I'm applying online from Hong Kong, and I'm a British citizen. The checklist did not ask for IELTS. I applied for admission with IELTS as it's required, but the school then waived the IELTS requirement for me. I did not indicate the waiver in my SOP - because I didn't even know I should - so I thought I needed it but just that I forgot to submit. Therefore, I attached and submitted it through the form you provided, along with the letter from my parents.
