Onn 22nd if June I got mail from embassy ... Here it is....

You may have heard of the new Student Direct Stream (SDS) program which has been launched for new study permit applications. This is to notify you that this new program will not in any way effect your application. We want to assure you that your application is still in process and is proceeding normally. This program is for prospective students who have not yet submitted an application and will be applying for their study permits on or after June 8, 2018. Please do not re-apply for a study permit as this will create multiple applications and will delay processing of all applications.



If you are looking for recent updates on your application, please check out the information below:

§ If you submitted your application online, check your Online Accountregularly for status updates or see if we have sent you correspondence.

§ If you made a paper application, create an Online Account to check for status updates, and upload any documents that we request through your online account. Documents submitted this way reach an officer faster. Too learn how to link your paper application to your online account, visit our website athttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1223&top=3.



Please be patient. Your application is in queue for processing and we will contact you if we need any additional information. Please do not send requests for status updates. Sending case status enquiries takes resources away from file processing, resulting in longer processing times for everyone.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW MUCH TIME IT WOULD TAKE TO FINAL DESICION...

AND WHAT DOES THIS MAIL MEANS...

this is an automated email they are sending to everyone who is currently waiting for a decision. i received it a few days ago. it means nothing at all. they are asking you not to send multiple applications that's all

I also received it few days back. Its an email for introduction of new program nd to confirmng us that sds will not effect our application in any way.

One should not broadcast the sensitive information such as application number, UIC etc ... in the forum or otherwise.

Lot of students whose application is in progress panicked and sent emails to CIC after the program was launched. To avoid any further emails coming to their general enquiries inbox, they just emailed everybody. Dont worry, its nothing. Just link your application and keep tracking.
