Hi all

i want to sponsor my father to Canada, but i am confused with the family size....

Here is my situation:

I became PR in 2013, and my husband became PR in 2017 ( i sponsored him)
we got married in oct 2015.
i want my husband as a co signer to sponsor my father (my mother was passed away)
we do not have any child yet..
He doesn't sponsor his parents now

so is it counted as 3 person in my family (me , my husband , my father ) ?
my husband just became PR in July 2017, can he be my co signer in 2016 and 2017)? because i check the cic website that co signer must be PR or citizen
Can i sponsor my father in 2019? (using me and my husband 's income of 2016,2017 and 2018 )

thanks a lot

Yes it's fine, the only thing that matters is your situation on the day you submit the application. So as long as your spouse is a PR as of 2019, it's fine to include him as co-signer.

If you win a lottery spot in 2019, then as long as you and your husband combined meet income for family size of 3 in 2016, 2017 & 2018, you will be fine. You can only count your husband's income that he earned while living in Canada and has CRA tax returns for.
