Hi Guys,

I have been living in Canada for the last 4 years as a PR and don't have any family here. Does anyone know if I am able to sponsor my cousin? I do have a living mother, brother and grandmother in India but they do not wish to one here.

Your cousin will have to qualify for PR on his/her own through an economic immigration stream like Express Entry / FSW or one of the Provincial Nomination Programs.

If you have parents or grandparents that are alive ANYWHERE in the world, or relatives already in Canada as PR’s or citizens, or are married or have children, the only people you can sponsor are your parents or grandparents or spouse/children.
