Got ppr mail today! Ghost update is surely a good sign.. had noticed ghost update on Saturday
Congratulations on the PPR. :)

Guys, I received my PPR yesterday. :D:D:D:D:D
They sent it to my lawyer. That is why I got it today.
I want to thank you each one of you for your support. Without your help I know that we wouldnt have gotten a positive response.
You have been my source of information for every question and doubt I had.
It has been a very stressful 2 years for us, since starting preparing the documents and waiting for the PPR.
Finally, we can make plans for our new life in Canada.
I want to tell you to remain positive and hopeful and you will get what you dreamed of.

Good luck to you!:)
Grats vjosi, you earned it after such a long wait! Best of luck on your move to Canada. :)
And yes, many of us owe so much to the users here sharing their advise & experiences.

And what is better gcms basic notes or gcms plus? Fastest and most efficient way.

i got request to pay rprf a month and a half back. Stuck in we are doing your background check since feb.
What details do you need to call order notes? I have my application number starting with E, would that suffice?
Other than the application number, you will also need the UCI number from your profile if it is available.
You also need to fill out a consent form for IRCC to release your information to the person/company ordering it on your behalf.

If you just want the notes you should get basic, and it doesn't affect how fast you get them, that is up to the IRCC. Based on my own experience, I didn't find that paying more for extra "interpretation" worth it. It was literally a single sentence which I could have told you once I glanced at the notes myself. You could get better analysis from the experts here in the various GCMS threads.

I didn't get you, what do you mean by another country?
I think canbnd was implying that you should give up on your application based on their friend having a similar situation and getting rejected.

However, I respectfully disagree as there are not enough details to come to that conclusion.

From what I saw on your other post, the issue is that they couldn't verify one of your past employers' existence through a web search. Don't they have any online presence at all? (website, linkedin page, etc)

In need of an opinion.

My GCMS notes states the following:
____________________
Assessments:
Eligibility: Passed
Security:
HIRV:
Criminality: Passed
Org crime:
Medical: passed
Misrepresentation:
Info sharing: Complete
Other reqs:
Final: Approved

The latest notes section dated April 25th 2018 states:
...Files appears ready for issuance. Please request passports x4.
_____________________

Some questions that come to mind:

1. Does this mean my application was approved for PPR?
2. Security field is empty instead of Passed. (is this stage over?)
3. There is a recommendation (actually a note from VO) that Passport Request should be triggered (this is back more than one month ago, yet no PPR). Is there such a long lead time for PPR?

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hi dorian1, I actually just received my last notes report which was generated on the same day I received my PPR so I'll chime in:

1. That seems to be the case from the "Final: Approved" bit and I have the same exact assessments status as you.
2. Same here, it's redacted since the beginning, but if the application was approved then doesn't that imply that security is finished as well?
3. Here's where it's different for me, I don't have any similar note like yours. The last notes were both one day before PPR, one mentioned something like "file approved and RFV" and the second is "RFV letter sent via email in a batch" the next day I got the RFV email.

This is just speculation, but if they are releasing the RFV emails in batches, it could mean they could wait for some time before sending them even if the file is approved?
If I were you I'd try calling IRCC and asking about the application status to see what they have to say.

Hi Nobatia,

Appreciate your support.

Is the 'ready for visa' e-mail sent by CPC or Visa Office?

I have tried to contact them (both of them) before efforts that resulted in an endless loop of machine messages. I will try my luck again but wondering if an e-mail at CPC would do the trick in case of not being able to reach them by phone.

Cheers.

It was sent by CPC in my case, my VO was Ottawa, so I'm not sure how it is for other VOs.

You could give it a shot, I tried both emailing and through the IRCC Web form but never received any reply to my queries pre-PPR. After that they did respond to my inquiry on the passport status.

Once you have submitted your passport and received it back with the COPR (confirmation of permanent residence) there is an expiry date mentioned in the document. You should land before that date.

Thank you, but on average how much time do we have to wrap up things as we will not do any first landing but permanent one.

For me it is 180 days and still in background check. I ordered notes last week and waiting for the results which takes almost a month to receive from order date. If you have family member in Canada, they can order it on your behalf for $5 I think. But if you order it yourself, there is $20 or $30 fee.

BTW, what is your timeline?
Hey what's your timeline ?
Did you sent any email to CIC ?

Looking at the profile status won't tell you much.
Haven't you ordered GCMS notes yet?

The COPR is valid for 1 year from the date of the medical, so check the date of your e-medical copy to know how long you have.
As an example, my medical was submitted/generated on 29/10/2017 and that is exactly 1 year from the validity date on my COPR as well: 29/10/2018.
