Hello,

I am PR of Canada . I came back to Canada after my marriage ceremony in India. My wife, Principal Applicant, is in India and we are planning to apply for PR visa under family class. I would be the Sponsor.. Please do help me with my following confusions.

1. I don't have any job now, as I just came from india before 15 days . I don't have the job letter/ employment letter. I do have my Tax returns filed for last 3 years. So, can I process withTax Return documents for PR, being unemployed?

2. Myself, sponsor, is processing for my wife PR visa from Canada. I do have bought all documents notarised from India. However , some documents like photocopy of my recent passport copy ( showing the entry and exit of India)is not notarised . So, do I have to get it notarised ? Is it OK , for 2-3 documents notarised from Canada and rest from India.

Thanks in anticipation.

1.) Refer......Spousal Sponsorship Checklist..........Employment/Source of Income.......

If you are not working in Canada, provide other documentation showing that you can support the person(s) you are sponsoring. This must include a detailed explanation of how you plan to support yourself and the sponsored person(s) on a separate piece of paper.

Will advice you include an explanation and your must recent CRA NOA.

2.) Documents could be notarized in India or Canada.

Unless your checklist specifies otherwise, you need a copy of your documents and certified translations for any document that's not in English or French.

For any documents that are not in English or French, you must attach the following, unless your checklist specifies otherwise:
  • a certified copy of the original document; and
  • The English or French translation, and
  • An affidavit from the person who completed the translation.

HI Wakki,

Thanks a lot for the reply. That helps a lot.

I appreciate.

Can you please guide regarding , what/how exactly should I explain to CIC regarding me supporting my wife as I am unemployed now. Any link or google help.

Do I have to notarise the conversations, call details, gift receipts etc exchanged between me and mine wife?

thanks a lot again.

Are you a new PR? If so you don't need have job, but better have a plan how to live here. Such as is going to have a job, rent an apartment, buying a house, etc. And if you two have any savings in India that would be a great. otherwise, trying to getting a job maybe the best option. But you can submit your paper now.
