Hi all,

I have submitted for my child, Health Card and PR Card copies as identification. Please let me know if anyone has done similarly in past and had any issues.

Thanks. when you says "Passport", Did you attached two copies of passport one for Travel Document and other for Identification? Or just one passport copy for both?

IRCC doesn't accept PR cards as a means of ID, at least for the adult application.

Two (2) pieces of the child’s personal identification

Both pieces of identification should show your child’s name and date of birth, one of which must have a photo on it.
Examples include:

• school record- You can ask the school office for index card of the child which has a photo of the kid.
• health insurance card

If there is information on both sides of your child’s personal identification documents, provide a photocopy of both sides.

For a child under school age, identification such as:

• a passport page containing his or her photo and personal details, or
• a hospital or immunization record, may be provided

Format: Clear and legible photocopy

Note: You cannot use your child’s permanent resident card as identification

You can get letter from school and attached as I'd, i got and attached , it can be with a pic and letter. School knows format..

I need to attach the identification for my child, if they are not going to accept PR. Also, I have sent only one copy of passport. Can I send the school record document with explanation letter? Have anyone tried doing so?

I think , please wait as in past few months, I have read some members got AOR .
So please wait , if application don't returned, it might be accepted and if you get an AOR it means its accepted.

If required, please ask school to give a letter with pic. stating the child is studying there from year... to .... but now I suggest to wait

Yeah, please wait for 4 to 6 weeks, If you don't recieve AOR or return of application, then i think it would be good.
Meanwhile please letter from school and paper copies, health card so if they ask, you can send it immediately.

The school doc is called "index card". At least its called an index card for those schools which comes under the toronto district school board. It has all the detailed record of your kid along with a picture. I have submitted the index card for both of my kids and it was accepted by them and i have already passed the test and interview and they did not even ask for that. It means they have accepted it.

One more thong. In toronto, the schools have 2 different types of index cards. One is called "detailed index card" and the other one only gives a brief info of the kid. Tell the school to issue the detailed one
