Hello Everyone,

I am in a confusion and would like some direction on my Mother's visa application.
To provide you with a little background I will share a little history.
I applied for my Mother's visitor visa in 2015 that got rejected based on the ties and travel history. The reason we applied for my Mother's visa in 2015 was because I wanted her to attend my graduation ceremony. My Mother does not work since she was married.
We are a family of three.. We lost our Father fifteen years back. My younger brother and myself are in Canada for 2-3 years.. I recently got my PR. I have been working full time since August 2016 in the healthcare field. Because of the full time job, it becomes difficult to go home frequently and thus I want my Mother to visit us.
I am now confused whether I should apply for her Supervisa or Visitor visa? Also how can I make my application stronger?
Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

Your mom would need to prove some ties to India regardless of a super visa or a TRV.

1. Does she own property or land?

2. Does she live with family members that are dependent on her for their well-being?

3. Can she prove she has the financial means to pay for a visit? Or is she dependent on you/another family member for her finances?

4. Has she traveled to visa-required countries?

Hello Bryanna,

Thank you for your reply.

1. Does she own property or land?- She owns her residential home.

2. Does she live with family members that are dependent on her for their well-being?-
No, not really but my Mom visits my grandparents once a month.

3. Can she prove she has the financial means to pay for a visit? Or is she dependent on you/another family member for her finances? -
Yes, she can show finances tha are available in her bank. Also, I can provide my paystubs and bank statements.

4. Has she traveled to visa-required countries?-

1. Does she own property or land?- She owns her residential home.
I'm assuming it is legally on her name.

2. Does she live with family members that are dependent on her for their well-being?- No, not really but my Mom visits my grandparents once a month.
That does not help to prove dependent family ties.

3. Can she prove she has the financial means to pay for a visit? Or is she dependent on you/another family member for her finances? - Yes, she can show finances tha are available in her bank.
Did she earn this bank balance? Does she have sources of income + hopefully, she can provide 1-2 years of ITRs.

Does she have other financial investments? FDs, RDs, shares/stocks, mutual funds, PPF, etc?

Also, I can provide my paystubs and bank statements.
Your finances are secondary for a TRV, but would matter for a super visa.

4. Has she traveled to visa-required countries?- Just one country last year.
Which one?

That does not help to prove dependent family ties.

Even if you provide papers for property title its not going to help. CIC is looking for a reason to return, property can sit for years. pm me, I will share what needs to be done in this case.

Currently her ties are strong in Canada (both son here)- negative
weak ties in home country (just a property or money in account)- negative

Thank you for your message.

Yes she just sold a property and thus her funds. Yes she can provide her ITR based on the rental income.

She has one or two FDs

Your finances are secondary for a TRV, but would matter for a super visa.
Do you think applying supervisa would be better in this situation?

Which one?
Thailand

That does not help to prove dependent family ties.
What else can be done in this situation?

I'm assuming it is legally on her name.
Yes it is in her name legally
