Hai Ashu......Congrats on ur landing.....I was not in the forum for long.....so just happened to know u landed safely.....

I wasted money with consultants & now trying to apply by myself for sinp.Express entry......I would be thankful if u could guide me.....

Q1. Under Generic application form for question 2,Category under which you are applying.
What should I enter is it skilled worker or provincial nominee??

Q2.Under schedule 4 Economic class form, for Q3.Which provincial government has nominated you?(what should I enter as I am just applying now?)
and for Provincial steam/ category(what should I enter)??

Q3. Where should I upload my tenth & twelfth certificate in Oasis??


I would be happy if you could help me out.....

Hi Ashu, Congratulations on your landing! Hope u r settling down well... We r also planning to reach Regina by June end... please share about ur experience after landing such as
1. How long it took at port of entry and any specific information or document one should care about
2. Did Scotia Bank given debit card immediately or sent to home address
3. Did you join any workshop/services for finding home, job etc.
4. Is CAD $500 cash and multi-currency card with CAD 1000 be good enough for initial few days (apart from money in Scotia bank)
5. How about daily commute
6. Any suggestion on mobile family plan for data

1. Min. 1 hour. POF amount proof, 2 copies of COPR, passports with visa.
2. Debit card immediately and credit card later by post.
3. Open door society. Hindu community of Saskatchewan.
4. Good. Because Forex card with much amount is not a very good option. We can use them for digital transactions only. We can't credit funds in bank account or transfer anywhere.
Have u sent money through wire transfer in Scotia bank account?

Is it acceptable if the funds are in two separate individual accounts of me and my spouse ? and show separate proof for the same, OR Does it need to be only in the primary applicant account ?

On your way to Regina Newcomers Centre....kindly be guided by the following; Ensure you book appointment ahead with the Bank before going.
The following Banks have their Presence in 11th Avenue;

CIBC: Hamilton by 11th Avenue(1800 Hamilton St)

2002 11th Avenue by Hamilton(just opposite CIBC Bank)

Scotia Bank;
1901 Hamilton by 12th Avenue

Stop. at the Bank first to Open Accounts. Ask them for stamped Void Cheque

Secondly, proceed to eHealth for your Health Cards

Thirdly move forward to SGI for your Saskatchewan Province Identity Card.

Then proceed to Newcomers Centre for settlement and Orientation.

Finally proceed upstairs to book Appointment with your Employment Counsellor

You need all your Landing documents(passports and Corp) for both self and dependants and Housing Lease Agreements.

I have one query, I have CAD 12701 in my bank account since last 6 months however, it is not that much different from minimum CAD 12450 for one person settlement fund. So do SINP officer count it less money or it is enough amount thank you. And hope you would easily adjust with new environment. Lord Shiva always with you.
