Congratulations everyone!! Ray of hope has been a great help while waiting for the ITA....and a loooong wait it has been!

@AlliBatista great initiative!

I had a query regarding proof of funds....my account generally does have substantial money transfers....however my father-in-law will be helping me and my husband with the amount required for immigration.....should i take a gift deed from him? Or will it be ok if he transfers the amount in parts?

Proof of funds is generally a reason for rejection so a little anxious about it....

Also have we created a whatsapp group? If not already done i wouldnt mind creating one if you guys drop your numbers in a private message to me.....and if already made then can i please know who i can send my number to since i would like to be a part of it too.....thank you!

This is pretty much my question as well. Can someone help understand?

Question regarding PCC, i have a PCC that expires on 8th June.
lets say if i am able to submit all my documents before 8th june is my PCC still valid ?
Or does it need to be valid after the AOR as well ?

If your PCC is valid on your AOR date then you should be fine. At the very worst they would send an ADR for new PCC but I doubt that would happen.

A lot of people in this thread preparing documents so I wanted to drop in and offer some advice:

1. Your document checklist will appear after you fill in the online forms. You can and should go back and forth between the forms and document uploads.

2. Every requirement in your document checklist has space for one PDF only. Don't sacrifice resolution on your scans if the file is too big. Use a system like tinypdf.com to compress the file instead.

3. Scans in full colour. ALL OF THEM.

4. If anything in any of your documents isn't in English or French then you need to get it translated, with an affidavit which is notarised. There are companies that specialise in this sort of stuff like DocsBase who can make it easier for you.

5. If anything isn't crystal clear in your documents, include that in your LOE. You never know what kind of case officer you're going to get so really try to spell it out as much as you can.

6. Use the people on this forum. There's some immigration geniuses here that are happy to offer their advice and support. Once you've submitted your docs consider paying it forward and contributing too if you can.

7. Don't stress. It's easier said than done, but tackle this one thing at a time and you'll be able to do it.

See y'all in Canada!

hi guys! congrats to all who received their ITA. I too, got my ITA yesterday. I just have some doubts regarding address history. In my understanding, and based on my research, only addresses where you resided will be placed here. but there are others also (in the forum) who said they included even their travels. to all those who are submitting, can you please clarify what this address history is?

and for the past 10 years, meaning from date i received ITA, so inclusive dates will be May 24, 2008 to May 23, 2018? please confirm

Thanks in advance.

Received ITA and Congrats to all who received it yesterday!!!

Was reviewing the documents list and have so many questions after reading the application form.
1. I reside in US and had got the India PCC issued from NY consulate in Dec 2017. I have not travelled to India after that date. Do I still need to get a new one since it’s already six months old document?

2. Is there any Websites or YouTube videos showing how to fill out the application ( screenshots or sample applications). The address history, personal history sections are very confusing..

3. Where do we mention the details of any visa/work permit rejections for other countries like the US?

4. For all pdf documents, do we need to create an index page if there are multiple pages?

How did you manage it before having an ITA. Both in Oman and Pakistan they requested ITA to conduct the medical examination.
I contacted the doctor directly and said it was an upfront exam. The only thing he asked me to bring was my passport.

They use the e-medical system to do everything.

Filling my PR application. Have few questions.

1. We are in USA. In the travel history should be inform the initial travel we did from India ?

2. My daughter is 2. Application looking for medical for her too. Thought kids don't need medical. She was born in USA

3. I have one experience letter for both job designation from India and in US. Can I just upload same for both document. Should I do any letter of explanation?

On your point 3 - if it helps I have just submitted my application and I have the same employer reference letter for all the roles I am claiming points for. I uploaded the same pdf for each role. As the letter covers the role in question, I can't see it causing an issue.

Thanks man,

I did not read through the pdf message thoroughly. It is pretty clear that the timing of accept ITA is not critical and does not depend on age. I am not in hurry to accept it now. but have all my documents ready.

only thing might have to get my undergrad diploma and certificate translated and notarized and submit them along with my ECA for my master's degree.

Some people on this forum says no need to get them translated. I do have a translation from my university and stamped by the officials but those were from 14 years ago. I dont know if that would be sufficient or not.

Congrats to all who received ITA today!!!
If you already have a translation of your diploma don't sweat it.
You might want to get transcripts and send them along.

Points for your are are locked after ita, however if you don't accept/send info within the 90 days you'll re-enter the pool and score will be updated.

What happens after you upload the reference letters from the company ?
Do they give a call to the person to verify ?

Asking because the owner of my company is in India and does not know me personally, the CEO is bases out of US and am getting a letter from him. Will it create a problem that the CEO of an Indian company is in US ?
