Hey I applied for Spouse Open Work permit from Pakistan on 7th March,2018 and no update till now..its showing just background checking and application in process, can plz anyone tell me how long will it take? Did anyone got SOWP till

Background checks can take any length of time from a few weeks to even more than one year

Hi I applied for my wife Sowp on 7th march 2018 she had done biomatric on 11th march and now I’m w8ing for medical request I check on line same story like you they are checking background

once the medical is done depend on visa officer sometime they do early somae time late at least 1month

Hey kindly tell me do u have any mailing address of cic in which i should mail them as i already submitted my upfront medical and it’s expiry date is 15th August,2021. But still they requested me for medical kindly tell me what should i do??

You can upload the same medical letter again through web enquiry and write that you already submitted taht but re submitting on the request

technically they consider your application complete when bio-metrics are done which your wife submitted on 11th. If your application is all good tehn hopefully you will get medical request in another week or so ... i am hopeful that if they are processing application of 7th march then we are in queue at abu dhabi office . just pray to God and hope for the best!

I applied online on 14th march, it doesnt matter from where you apply, (canada or pakistan) , it will be processed in abu dhabi office. proessing time from pakistan is way tooo much! but sowp on average takes 3-4 months . plz keep us updated till your wife get the visa
