Results for IELTS session 12th may will be released on friday 25th but people won´t get TRF number to update EE profile the same date or am I wrong ?

I consider it at the same level of IELTS. Of course, starting from zero, you have a hard path until reaching the B2 level required for CLB7. Having someone to teach you will certainly help.
You can actually get the TRF code before the official certificate, but only a very small portion of candidates do that. So, I think we'll have a "IELTS-free" draw this wednesday.
As per my understanding you can take IELTS with either British Council or IDP. For IDP you get the TRF with the online results, and for British Council you have to wait for the physical mail. Correct me if I'm wrong though
if draw happens on 24th the chance of getting Ielts results are pretty high. For example Australia would release the online result with TRF number on the 24th morning the earliest. of course people will try to guess. and also many are picking up results. if someone you know work at the test center it is possible to get test form ahead of time. normally the test center would receive the results back from Cambridge in the morning before the result released to public. which means a few people could possibly get their hands on their results on the 24th local time, which maybe still 23rd midnight in Canada. but we probably only see 1 out of 1000 willing to pull the string and willing to risk like that.You can actually get the TRF code before the official certificate, but only a very small portion of candidates do that. anyway, if on the 23rd there is no draw I bet the cut off will be 440 or higher.

@AlliBatista I see that you also speak French. May I ask you, in your opinion, how much time is it needed to achieve level 7 in French from 0 knowledge? And do you agree with me that with an intensive course (5days/week 2hrs/day) you may reach level 5 in 2- 3 months?
I am trying to convince my husband to study French (from 0), but he says that I am too optimistic (thinking of 2-3 months) because I already know French.
Depending on the type of IELTS test you take, you can get the TRF number in the online report or use a online number generator. Either way, people will be in the draw. We are good for Wednesday though. Of course, there is a always a possibility of people guessing the number incorrectly or using online generators and later having to decline the ITA but they will hog the ITA meanwhile.

I would suggest you get good TEF score and get a decent IELTS score and when submit EE choose spouse not accompany. you maybe better off without him.
The only test accepted for French is TEF.

I have taken two times the TEF exam and both results came with CLB 8 for writting and speaking so I couldn´t maximize points
; my English was CLB 5-6 last test (but I have been studying and I will retake IELTS on jun 30).For other instance, my husband has CLB 9-10 in English. That is why his CRS is higher than mine. We have two different profiles. At the moment, mine is more like a Plan B in case Ontario targets again French Speaking. But I am studying to improve and retake exams, so we will see
