Applied in one package for myself & Wife
Application for Canadian Citizenship received- 9th January 2018
Correspondent acknowledging receipt - 13th February 2018
Started processing application - 21 March 2018
I called CIC contact center to check where is my file, and they informed its still in Nova Scotia. As one of my friend who had applied on 29th January 2018, got a confirmation that his file have been received in Mississauga processing center.

Application status "In Process" means that your file is now in your local IRCC center. It stays in Nova Scotia until AOR stage.

The CIC does not give information about file transfers between offices. You may want to recheck with your friend. The "In Process" status covers all these movements. Once, the file reaches the destination office in one's geographical area, it will be reviewed and the applicant may be contacted in case more information is required. An indirect indicator of where the file is, I feel, would be when the local office contacts directly and asks for specific requirements if needed to process further.
