Can anyone tell me if CIC update invitation for oath on ecas? or they only send by either mail or email? Thanks folks.

Send via email or mail based on the office sending it and your preferences. There is normally an update in ecas.

it will be by email only and following line will add on Ecas

We sent you a notice on April 9, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on May 15, 2018 at 8:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Thank you for your quick answer. I got DM 3 weeks ago but still haven't got any invitation letter for oath. I know I need to be patient but can't help to keep checking online status.

There isn't much useful data from Surrey applicants in the sheet, but there is an applicant in there that had DM in January and is still waiting, so you may be in for at least a few months of waiting. There are October applicants with completion, but they are all urgent applicants, so don't really count towards what would be a realistic time frame.

Hey Surrey applicant here. I got oath invite after 1 week after decision made. It was by email and ECAS was updated after 4-5 days of that.

But every case is different. If your interview is all clear and they might be waiting for you security check. But I think you will get it anytime now. Next oath date is May 29. It’s too late for May 29. So most probably it would be June 05 for you.

Did you get your invitation? I got my decision made two weeks ago on CIC website now third weeks going on no invitation yet...

I think Vancouver should be faster because there are more ceremonies in Vancity than in Surrey. My friend from Van got the oath ceremony only 2 weeks after getting DM
