Adding common law partner into PR application

Hello, everyone

I am currently under AINP PR application. I added my common law partner into my application in Jan 2018 and I received my medical exam in March 2018. However my partner has not received the medical exam or any updates yet. I called IRCC, apparently they don’t have estimated processing time for my partner. Does anyone have similar cases, so we will have idea how long it normally takes?

Seems like CIC haven't added up your common law partner yet. Your partner will receive the medical request only after receiving UCI number under your account (even after getting it, they will review the provided documents and then will send the medical request to your partner).

Yes that’s what we were thinking as well but it looks like they are taking time to add him in.. Do you maybe have any idea on how long it could take ?

Well that's difficult to answer but after getting the name added to your file it could take 5- 8 months to get the medical request. But it varies from case to case (rough idea).
