WES basic or Icap

Hi, My name is Arun and I am looking for an answer for which WES program i should register for WES. There is WES basic and Icap. I need to select the appropriate one and get the reference no generated.Could someone help me on this.Pls.

Went through WES already and I don't know what you mean, you just go to Wes -> Wes Canada and then click on Educational Credential Assessment for CIC and follow the process. Sorry but i don't remember you have two choose between basic and other one. Can you tell me in which step of the process you have to select that?

When you go for the payment section it shows WES Basic and WES ICAP. Both has course by course and document by document. I have selected the option WES basic for 210CAD and 85$ fr courier,so including tax it was 333 CAD.

Also I have one more question. How many transcripts is required from the university? one is required right.One means it is for all the 8 semesters.
Few people have mentioned that you need to take the originals(degree,provional and mark sheets )to the university to get it done.
Unfortunately I am in Dubai and the originals are with me. Some of the consultancy firms for immigration to canada based in Dubai told me, i just need to take the copies to the university. Pls help.

WES basic would do if you are applying for PR.

What I did for getting transcripts was (from Punjab Technical University, it may differ from university to university):

1. Generated Reference number after paying WES fee
2. Shared scanned copies of DMCs and Degree) on the online portal along with the fee

Transcripts were then sent to my residence in a sealed envelope.

So, I suggest you call your university then proceed.

I know some colleagues who got their CA foundation evaluated as 2-year diploma by WES Canada. My concern is that I have not qualified my CA yet. I have the ACCA membership but I need a few more points to be on the safe side. Which payment plan should I choose in order to get points for my incomplete credentials? Anyone CA inter or Finalist from India or Pakistan here? Kindly help.

Yes, I just entered the details of WES report in the EE form, and I got the points for "2 or more degrees/diplomas, where one must be 3 years or more".

Also CA..But they only assessed my CA foundation. ICAP directly sent my documents to them. WES didn't evaluate my module E & F and my "Professional Accounting Affiliate" certificate by ICAP. So I guess, its either foundation or membership. There will be no points or evaluation for Module E/F, even if one paper is remaining.

1. ACCA awarded me exemptions based on my 2-year B.A economics degree. So yes, I did not pass all the ACCA papers and had some exemptions (I hope this is what you are looking for). My ACCA is evaluated as a 4-year degree, despite the exemptions. 2. Only one attestation did in my case. I only mailed my attested degree and marks sheet of B.A in a HEC sealed envelop, and F.Sc certificates in a Federal Board sealed envelop once to WES (I put both of the above mentioned sealed envelops in a single Fedex envelop).

ICAP was pretty straight forward and convenient. Just emailed ICAP, requested them to send my documents to WES and paid the fee online. They asked me to email them scanned copies of my certificates along with payment receipt. That was it.

Yes, 2 diplomas and one 4-year bachelor degree. The reason, why my CA and BA were evaluated as diplomas, could perhaps be that I completed both in the same year.

Yes, exactly. So unfortunately, I cannot be a CGA member as I don't have another bachelor degree beside ACCA. So I am planning to go for University of London's M.Sc. They will assess the M.Sc as another 4-year bachelor degree, and my problem will be solved. Insha Allah. I know this for sure because my wife's 2 year master degree has been evaluated as a 4-year bachelor. She has a 2-year B.Sc and a 2-year MBA, totally different subjects, still they assessed her MBA equivalent to a 4-year Canadian Degree. Her second master degree in Business Administration was evaluated as Canadian Master degree.
